I am a board-eligible general surgeon and incoming fellow in Advanced Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery at UC Davis Medical Center. My research focuses on autonomous surgical robotics and AI governance in surgery; I lead the Autonomous Surgery Working Group within the SAGES Robotics Committee, where we're working to guide the development of safe and effective autonomous surgical systems.
I'd be glad to hear from anyone working on autonomous surgical systems, machine learning in surgery, foregut surgery, or abdominal wall reconstruction.
